Royal appointment taking shape

Reading have stated their intention to have the replacement for Brian McDermott in place by the weekend and the market is taking shape.

These sorts of markets are hugely volatile, with whispers of one man or another being in contact seeing their prices tumble.

But with the initial volatility now out of the way, it seems that the bookmakers feel former Southampton boss Nigel Adkins will be the man charged with the task of keeping the Royals up. He can be backed at 4/5
with bet365, with Gus Poyet next best at 11/2.

Adkins’ status of currently being out of work makes him an attractive proposition in that it will not be messy so a similar comments applies to Paolo Di Canio, 14/1, who recently left Swindon.
