Early goal at Goodison makes appeal

The Bradford fairytale came to an end at the hands of Swansea in the Carling Cup final on Sunday and it’s now the turn of Oldham to fly the flag for the lower leagues.

Oldham scored late on to force a replay with Everton at Boundary Park and have a second bite at Goodison Park.

For all that the neutrals will be cheering on Oldham, we get the feeling they have had their chance. The bookmakers certainly feel so, as Everton are priced at 1/6 to claim the win in 90 minutes. That is a mighty skinny price and we feel there is a need to seek out a bit of value.
Everton fell behind on 13 minutes in the first leg and we feel there could be an early goal on the cards again, it’s 5/6 for the net to be rippled inside 22 minutes.

Marouane Fellaini came in for some rough-house treatment in the first leg. On home soil, we expect him to be top dog and take him to score Everton’s first goal – 15/4 with bet365.
