A 9/2 winter warmer

Weekend betting options could be thin on the ground, with snow likely to keep horse racing superstar Sprinter Sacre wrapped up warm in his box.

With a bit of luck and a fair wind (to blow the snow away), there should be some footballing bets to keep us interested. There’s nothing quite like an acca to keep you focused down the Dog and Duck in front of our favour Soccer Saturday.

When it’s a little bit cold, you always yearn for home comforts. Home comforts are what we are looking for on Saturday. A couple of the bets are not going to get us rich, but Liverpool (1/3) and Manchester City (1/4) are nailed on.

While Newcastle were flying high last season, it would only have been against one of the top four that you could back them at 3/4 at home. That is the price available and is reflective of their form, but event that looks a decent punt against Reading.

The acca is completed by Wigan who are a shade of odds against (11/10) to beat Sunderland. Every time we watch Wigan, they tend to look good. Take them to turn that promise into three points – with all four offering a return of a shade over 9/2
