Robin van Persie's inury time winner sent Manchester United six points clear in the Premier League and prompted the bookies to run for cover.

Manchester City looked like they had done enough to earn a draw until Van Persie, aided by Samir Nasri's decision to abandon his post in the wall, curled home a free kick.

While there's no chance of a PR stunt and paying out on United, the layers feel they will be hard to catch. Bet365 have cut United to 8/15, while champions City are on the slide to 15/8.

Rafa Benitez feels his Chelsea are still in the mix and they can be backed at 12/1. Arsenal are next best at 80/1, which suggests it is a three-way shootout.
