Rory-Tiger match bets in focus

Tiger Woods has given a pre-Christmas update of his blog. He talks about a number of things, including the best present he has ever been given (space Lego apparently), and also that it is too early to talk about a rivalry with Rory McIlroy.

The bookmakers don't see it that way as there a range of punting options concerning the pair. You can place a bet on the amount of majors Woods will win in his career, but given he could play on for another 10 years that’s a lot of time to have your money locked away in a bookie’s satchel.

A bet that could be of interest is a 2013 major match bet between McIlroy and Woods (we told you the bookies were interested!). McIlroy is 2/1 with bet365 to scoop the most, Woods 11/4 and it is even money they tie. Given the amount of other top-class players in the game, and that they could win two each, the tie looks the sensible punt.
