Girondins 7/4 to soar above Magpies
Newcastle may have eased the pressure on manager Alan Pardew after bagging a much-needed win against Wigan on Monday, but the Magpies are still wracked by injury problems. With their place in the knockout stages already secure, Pardew is expected to mix up his team, with Nile Ranger poised to return from the wilderness.
Only a win in France will be good enough to progress as group winners, but with a Premier League relegation battle on their hands, it probably isn't top of Pardew's list of priorites. We fancy Bordeaux to be ahead at half-time before taking the three points at odds of 7/4 with bet365.
