Spurs hoping they find Adel out of tune

This weekend sees a number of crucial games across the country, with London the focus of attention on Saturday as Arsenal host Chelsea to kick the day’s action off before Tottenham visit QPR – live on ESPN – later in the evening.

It’s an important game for Tottenham, who are bidding to cling onto the final qualifying position for the Champions League, but it is equally imperative for relegation-threatened QPR – who will have Adel Taarabt playing against his former side.

The Morocco international is hardly the most reliable performer – as both Neil Warnock and Mark Hughes have been left in apoplexy about already at points this season – but may well have something to prove against the club that let him leave for less than £1 million. At 11/1 with bet365 to score either first or last, Taarabt might be a player worth paying attention to.

Alternatively, everyone loves an accumulator - so maybe you can find a bit more value (and excitement) going down those lines. If you think the top five (Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle) will all get the job done this weekend (only Arsenal’s home tie against Chelsea looks a truly difficult encounter), then that could pay out at right around 9.1/1 with bet365. It’s an option, at least.
