Rory ready for Atlanta redemption

Rory McIlroy very nearly tamed Augusta last year, only to crumble across the final round, having held a four-shot lead at the start of the day. But he found instant redemption at the US Open, and we expect him to beat Tiger Woods to the Masters title this year.

The Ulsterman has been relentless with his consistency, with top fives in 12 of his last 13 starts, and his pure ball-striking and much-improved putting place him ahead of the field. We’re advising a confident win-only punt at 13/2.

Looking for each-way value, Lee Westwood’s name stands out at 22/1 – the Englishman’s putting remains a concern, but you just can’t fault his major record, with five top-three finishes from his last nine starts. And let’s not forget he ran eventual winner Phil Mickelson close during the 2010 tournament.

And to round things out, a 70/1 shot who finished eighth last year, and has four top-tens from seven PGA Tour starts this season.
