Get on Garcia at Bay Hill

Two weeks out from the Masters, the combatants at this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational will be aiming to hammer out a message ahead of the year’s first major.

Sergio Garcia will be desperate to get his hands on a coveted title during this Ryder Cup year – especially as he missed out on a playing spot on the European team during 2010 - and he has the ingredients to shine at Bay Hill: fine iron play, and experience of success on the course. The Spaniard is our headline pick at 22/1.

Ernie Els has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and, having won the tournament in 2010, has shown in the past that he has what it takes to tame one of the most fearsome tracks on the circuit. At 50/1, we’re advising an each-way play. And we’ve also highlighted Nick Watney, who might be worth an ante-post Masters wager just in case his odds do shrink after his exploits this week.

Arnold Palmer Invitational odds at bet365:

Tiger Woods 15/2

Phil Mickelson 14/1

Justin Rose 14/1

Webb Simpson 18/1
